  1. Describe the stimulus;

The world around us is constantly changing and for all living things to be able to survive and strive every day we must be able to respond to those changes. Any detectable change is called stimulus, our bodies use our senses to react appropriately in every case. It only makes sense for the Marketing world to exploit those facts in a way that benefits them. We live in a world in which a person can have almost anything they want to be delivered right to their front door; a lot of us take advantage of those services on a daily basis. A lot of companies have special trucks, driver’s outfits, etc. but not many, or any that I know include a unique, fun and exciting way of delivery. I saw years ago on a famous TV show when they delivered a mattress from the place called “The Mattress King”, the delivery guy sang a little song while delivering the product to the client, and I thought why not have them dressed in a robe, or cloak, maybe with a crown, and have a theme song play when they deliver the product to the client. It could be a fun, interesting, and memorable way to present the company, that provides good exposure, attracts the attention of neighbors and anyone passing by and a way to increase the curiosity about the product.

Making the delivering of the product interesting and different provides the company with an extra outlet for their creativity and uniqueness. This way of presenting the product works as a stimulus that paired with others elicits a response in the customer and others around them. The additions will raise the cost of the delivery, but it will be used as an additional marketing tool that plays with different senses. The color, sound, even odor, and texture will all play together to invoke a response in people’s memory that will connect it all to the brand. The changes are not difficult to make, they just require a little preparation, and this way of delivery would be best suitable for a larger product that usually has their own delivery systems set up; props must be purchased and supplied to the drivers, depending on what works with the branding. Another advantage is that if the customer has a question about the product the drivers can provide with an answer or possibly even help with assembly of the item. This way can elevate the customer service provided and show customers that the company cares about them, also can raise brand awareness and loyalty.
